Local Sports for Wednesday July 28

The Stratton Eagles and the Sight and Sound Wolves have opened the Rainy River District Fastball league post-season with victories.

Guy Arpin picked up the win on the mound and hit a homerun in the Eagles 5-3 win over Northwest Bay.

John Desaulniers accomplished the same feat for the Wolves in a 6-0 victory over Sabaskong.

The playoffs are a double-knock out format
