Local Sports for Friday March 2

Playoff action opens on two fronts for local hockey teams today.

The Fort Frances Lakers begin the first of two two-game mini-series with first-place Wisconsin in Spooner.

Game two goes tomorrow before the series shifts to the Memorial Sports Centre next weekend.




Fort Frances Muskies open the NORWOSSA boys hockey championship series with a home game against Kenora's Beaver Brae Broncos.

The Broncos were the only team to beat the Muskies this year, doing so in a shoot out back at the start of the season in November.
