Fort Frances native Donovan Taylor was well back of the field after his second race at the Olympic swimming trials in Montreal yesterday.

The 17-year-old was last in his heat in the 100 metre backstroke.

His time of of 1-minute 2.31 seconds was almost 8 seconds slower that the day's best time.

Taylor is back in the pool Saturday for the 100 metre fly.
