A Fort Frances man was among the 27-thousand to participate in yesterday's running of the Boston Marathon.

57-year-old Lorne Ricard competed the race in just over 4 and half hours which placed him in the middle of the field and 537th in his age category.




The Dudley Hewitt Cup gets underway today in Thunder Bay.

The host Thunder Bay's North Stars and league champion Wisconsin Wilderness represent the SIJHL against the Soo ThunderBirds and Stouffville Spirit.




International Falls Broncos girls softball team had its game with Lake of the Woods postponed.

The Bronco will try to get their season underway today with a home game against Hibbing.
