Local Sports For Tuesday November 19

The Kathy Jackson rink has lost its first game at the Dominion Curling Club Championship in Thunder Bay, 7-4 to Manitoba.

The Fort Frances team representing Northern Ontario held a 3-0 lead after two ends, before Manitoba took control with 5 in the next three.

Jackson's foursome next faces New Brunswick as 12:15 p.m. Fort Frances time today.



The Fort Frances Lakers haven't played a game all week, but have moved up one spot to second overall in the Canadian Junior Hockey League rankings.

Winners of a franchise-record 15-straight, the SIJHL leading Lakers are in Thunder Bay tonight to face the North Stars who are ranking 16th in the nation.



It's a busy night for high school hockey teams.

Fort Frances Muskies boys hockey team is home to Kenora's Beaver Brae Broncos in a NorWossa match up, 7:15 p.m at the Ice for Kids Arena.

The Muskies girls hockey team is played at Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

The International Falls Broncos girls hockey team is home to Park Rapids, 7 p.m. at Bronco Arena.
