Donovan Taylor of Fort Frances failed to qualify in the finals of two events yesterday at the Canadian Age Group Swimming Championships in Montreal.

The 17-year-old had the 19th fastest time in qualifying for the 200 metre backstroke and 45th fastest in the 100 metre butterfly.

He's back in the pool today competing in the 400 individual medley.



Laureen Peters provided the only scoring in Boston Pizza's 1-nil win over the Rendez-Vous Voyageurs in the Borderland Soccer League's women's division.

Amy Wilson-Hands recorded the shutout in net.



Rainy River District Fastball League will hold its annual all-star game tonight.

The game's being played in Barwick beginning at 7 p.m.
