Local Sports for Wednesday July 27

Caleb Heerema and Garnett Cornell each scored twice as Emo defeated the Rendez-Vous Voyageurs 6-2 in a men's division game in the Borderland Soccer League.

The league's top two teams Pharmasave and Manitou Forest Products played to a zero-zero tie.



A former captain of the International Falls Broncos football team has signed on with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Ty Boyle was one of 18 undrafted free agents signed to contract.

Boyle was a two-year starter at the University of North Dakota, twice earning second-team All-Great West Conference honors.
