Maury Nielson's Stratton rink failed in its attempt to earn a spot to the Dominion Curling Club championship in November.

Nielson's foursome earned just a single win at a provincial event in Sault Ste. Marie on the weekend.



The Minnesota Duluth hockey team has been making the rounds in the Twin Cities after the Bulldogs became NCAA champions Saturday.

U-M-D beat Michigan 3-2 in overtime - former Fort Frances Muskies Joe Basaraba a part of that team.

Yesterday, the team was honoured before the Twins game at Target Field and guests at the Wild's game at Xcel Energy Centre.
