Fort Frances Thunderhawks have lost their first game at the Allan Cup tournament in Kenora.

The Hawks were beaten 6-3 by the South East Prairie Thunder of Manitoba

They play Clarenville, Newfoundland this afternoon.



For the second time in three weeks, a member of the Rainy River Voyageurs men's baseball team has been named northern division player of the week by the Minnesota College Athletic Conference.

J.C. Crane went 10 for 14 at the dish with 3 doubles and 8 RBI's in the Voyaguers four games with Anoka-Ramsay on the weekend.
