Local Sports for Wednesday April 7

Falls High School boys track team finished seventh out of 23 teams an indoor meeting in Bemidji yesterday.

Shawn Filipiak finished first in high jump and fourth in the 60 metre hurdles.

Jake Jenson was second in the pole vault.

The team's 4 by 800 relay team earned a third place finish in its event.




High School Badminton players from across the region gather in Atikokan today for a NorWossa qualifier.

Winners advance to the championships slated for next Tuesday in Red Lake.



Rainy River Voyageurs women's softball team's home opener with Fond du Lac was postponed due to poor field conditions.

The games will be made up at a later date.
