Local Sports for Friday November 26

Raymond Roy's Northern Ontario rink has fallen to 1 and 2 at the Dominion Curling Club championship in Prince Edward Island with a 7-3 loss to Manitoba.

The Fort Frances rink faces two must win games if it's to make the playoff round with a morning game against the Northwest Territories and tonight against the Yukon.



Tirzah Keffer will look for a spot to the Northern Ontario provincial junior curling championship this weekend.

Her Fort Frances rink is playing at an inter-regional event in Thunder Bay that opens play today.

Keffer's teammates include Samantha Mueller, Taylor Hartlin and Carley Busch.



The Atikokan Voyageurs loss all three of its games played yesterday at the Ontario High School senior boys volleyball division A championship in Mississauga.

The team will play its final game this morning with a chance to make the consolation playoffs.

In Welland, the Rainy River Owls plays Algonquin in its second game at the senior girls basketball division A championship.

A loss knocks them out of the tournament.



Fort Frances Lakers look to stop a three-game skid with a game tonight at the Ice for Kids Arena against the Sioux Lookout Lakers.

Game time is 7:15 p.m.
