Local Sports for Tuesday November 23


Rainy River Voyageurs women's hockey team has been ranked number one in the American Collegiate Hockey Association's West.

The rankings help determine which teams will qualify for next spring's Division 2 championship.

The Voyageurs, who have lost just once in seven games this season, received six first place votes to beat out South Dakota State for the number one ranking.




High School hockey hits the ice on three locations tonight.

The Fort Frances Muskies boys hockey team travel to Dryden to play the Eagles in its first NORWOSSA league game of the season.

The Muskies girls host Dryden at the Ice for Kids Arena beginning at 7:15 p.m.
The International Falls Broncos girls team travels to Park Rapids.



More honours for Ryan Faragher.

The former Fort Frances Sabres netminder has been named Goaltender of the Week in the North American Hockey League.

Faragher plays for Bismarck and will attend Dartmouth College next season.
