Another first time winner at Emo Speedway Saturday.

Christopher Leek of Emo captured the midwest modified feature in a race featuring just eight cars.

Gavin Paull of Fort Frances continued his dominance in the modifed class with his sixth straight feature win.

Don Bowman of Bemidji took the street stock race.




Steve Arpin finished 13th in a NASCAR truck series race at Iowa Speedway Saturday.

He started the race in the same position and raced most of the night within the top 15, getting as high as 10th.




Registration for the Fort Frances-based under 12 boys and girls soccer teams goes today at St. Francis Field beginning at 4:30 p.m.

The teams are coached by Mike Sande and Aylssa Holliday.

They'll compete in a district-wide tournament later this summer.
