Local Sports for Wednesday July 20

Pharmasave has taken over first place in the Borderland Soccer League men's division with a 14-0 whitewash of the Rendez-Vous Voyageurs under 18 team.

Jimmy Nussbaumer scored five times and now leads the all men with 16 goals.

Jeff Campbell and Josiah Morris each netted three goals with Chris Wiedenhoeft with a pair and Steve Hands rounding out the scoring

Mark Clifford got the shutout win in net.

On the women's side, Al's Racquet Stringing was awarded the win after the Voyageurs failed to field a full squad.



Beef's Warriors secured first place in the Rainy River District Fastball League with an 11-1 win over the Big Grassy Lightning.

The win was the Warriors 14th straight.

The Big Grassy Braves ended their regular season in second spot with a 12-4 victory over Manitou.

Northwest Bay won for just the second time this season, 9-4 over Stratton.

A game between Big Island and Sight and Sound was postponed.
