Atikokan Curling Club plays host to the northern Ontario junior men's curling playdown.

Eight teams from Kenora, Thunder Bay, Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie and Smooth Rock Falls are vying for the right to represent the region at next month's national championship in Napanee.

Fort Frances native Tirzah Keffer skips one of women's teams at northern Ontario junior women's curling championship, beginning today in Sioux Lookout.

Keffer, who now curls out of the Port Arthur Curling Club, is joined by clubs from Kenora, Thunder Bay, Copper Cliff, Longlac and Sudbury.
