Local Sports For Friday September 14


Another first place finish for the Falls High School girls cross country run team.

The team bested 10 other schools with four runners scoring top 20 finishes.

It was paced by Lexi Erickson finishing 2nd and Sydney Raboin in 4th.

Marco Griffith's 13th place showing was best for the boys team that finished 5th out of 14 teams.




A win in the pool as well for the Broncos girls swimming team, outscoring Northeast Range-Ely in head to head competition.

Bronco swimmers won seven of 11 events.




International Falls Broncos girls volleyball team dropped a 3-set match to Greenway, 23-25, 11-25 and 16-25.

Broncos are in Duluth tonight to play Duluth-Marshall.

Tonight the Broncos football club hosts Proctor, 7 p.m. at Bronco Stadium.




At Fort Frances High School, the Muskies football team visits Dryden looking for its first win of the season.

The schedule also sees the junior boys volleyball team in tournament action in Kenora.

The senior girls basketball team is listed for tournament play in Thunder Bay.
