Local Sports For Thursday September 6

The first NORWOSSA golf tournament was held in Dryden.

Kendell Olson of Atikokan High School finished fourth in the girls division.

No girls from Fort Frances High School were involved

Evan Krassy of Atikokan had the best finish among the district boys, tying for 18th overall.

James Brown led all Fort Frances golfers with a 20th place finish.

The next tournament goes in Atikokan next week.




Two former International Falls Broncos will be continuing their pro-hockey careers in Tulsa this year.

Drew Fisher and Ben Gordon have been signed by the Central Hockey League club.

Fisher played the final six games of last season with the Oilers while Gordon spent his season in Germany.
