Local Sports for Wednesday September 1

Falls High School girls volleyball team dropped a heartbreaker to Orr last night, losing in 5 sets.

The Broncos won the first two, but Orr rallied for three straight wins including a 15-11 decision in the deciding set.

Sydney Gordon led the Broncos with 31 digs and 17 kills while Reva Renollett had 30 set assists and and 5 ace serves.


Rainy River Voyageurs women's volleyball team has its home opener tonight.

The 1-3 Voyageurs face Fond Du Lac beginning at 6 p.m.



Registration for Fort Frances Girls Hockey takes place today and tomorrow at the Memorial Sports Centre.

It goes from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. both nights.

The season opens at the end of this month.
