Regular trips to Duluth could be in the future for the Fort Frances Lakers.

A group in Duluth is seeking entry into the Superior International Junior Hockey League.

Spokesperson Butch Williams says an application to join next season has been made to the league.

Hockey Canada and USA Hockey must give their blessings first, but Williams is confident approval will be granted.



Final registration for the Borderland Soccer League takes place tonight.

It happens at the Fort Frances High School from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

League play begins at the end of this month.
