Fort Frances Lakers scored twice in each period en route to a 6-1 win over the Sioux Lookout Flyers last night at the Ice for Kids arena.
Byron Katapaytuk with a pair, Jon Sinclair, Matthew Caulfied, Zach McCool and Jace Baldwin provided the scoring.
The win allowed the Lakers to remain 5 points back of league-leading Wisconsin who blanked Duluth 9-0.
A six-goal performance by Michael Bounds paced the International Falls Broncos boys hockey team to an 8-1 thumping of Ely last night at Bronco Arena.
Bounds scored the Broncos first five goals of the game, notching his final goal in third.
Eric Lassila and Brett Lucek added the others.
On the hardwood, the Broncos boys basketball team defeated Tower-Soudan 74-35.
