Local Sports for Thursday February 17

A 3-goal performance by Tyler Stevenson last night was spoiled as the Fort Frances Lakers fell 4-3 to the Dryden Ice Dogs in Dryden.

The loss, combined with a Thunder Bay win over Sioux Lookout, leaves the Lakers 3 points up on the Stars for second place.

The two teams meet tonight at the Ice for Kids Arena.



A shorthanded Rainy River Voyageurs men's basketball team lost 103-79 to Vermilion Community College in Ely.

Just six Voyageurs dressed for the game.
