Local Sports for Wednesday February 2


Fort Frances Muskies boys hockey team battled back from a third goal deficit to force overtime and beat the Dryden Eagles 5-4 in a shoot out last night in Dryden.

Colton Spicer notched the only goal in the shoot out for the win.

Nikolas Jourdain with 2, Spicer and Brett McMahon scored in regulation with Devin Stromness in net for the win.




International Falls Broncos girls hockey team defeated the Muskies 2-1 in a game played at the Ice for Kids Arena.

MacKenzie Raboin and Michelle McDonald scored for the Broncos.

Taylor Dixon had the lone marker for the Muskies.



The Broncos boys hockey team defeated Two Harbours 11-1



The Broncos boys basketball team beat Ely 51-42.

Trevar Carlson lead with 11 points.




Fort Frances Muskies court teams split games with Dryden.

The senior boys basketball team beat the Eagles 68-38.

The junior boys lost 48-39 with Mike Murphy chipping in 12 points.

In Volleyball, the senior girls team won in four sets while the junior girls lost in four.
