Play at the Northern Ontario curling provincial masters championships begins in Kakabeka Falls today with two Rainy River district rinks taking part on the men's side.
Rinks skipped by Bryan Bonot of Stratton and Ken McKinnon of Fort Frances are vying for a spot to next month's Canadian Masters in Winnipeg.
Rainy River Voyageur men's basketball team lost 98-86 to Northland.
Sheldon Esdelle-Blackburn with 23 and Derek Scully with 22 points led the team in scoring.
