Local Sports For Tuesday July 10


Nicole Rogozinski notched a hat trick as Al's Racquet Stringing upset Taggs Source for Sports 5-2 in the Borderland Soccer League's women's division.

It's Al's first win over Taggs this season.

In the other game Collen Hogan found the twine four times while Laureen Peters added 3 more as Boston Pizza walloped La Place Rendez-Vous Voyageurs 11-0.




A day after competing at the Minnesota Modified Nationals, Fort Frances native Steve Arpin took his race car to North Dakota for the second leg of the Dakota Classic Modified Tour.

After failing to finish his heat, he won the b-main, but failed to finish in the feature, scoring 16th.

Local driver Joey Galloway, who now lives in Saskatchewan, was also competing, finishing 3rd in his heat, 3rd in the b-main, but failed to start the feature.
