Local Sports for Tuesday July 17

Laureen Peters added three more to her league leading total as Boston Pizza defeated Al's Racquet Stringing 6-1 in the Borderland Soccer League's women's division.

Peters now had 30 goals in 13 games.

In the other game, Taggs Sources for Sports beat the La Place Rendez-Vous Voyageurs 7-1.

Wynonna Kavanaugh, Sara Roach and Tara MacEachern each had a pair for Taggs.




Big Grassy Braves won their 12th of the season in the Rainy River District Fastball League by beating the Big Island Huskies 6-5.

It was a make-up game from June.

Travis Tom won his league-leading 12th game on the mound.
