Erik Lassila scored four times and added two assists as International Falls Broncos trounced Ely 17-0.

Jakob Ettestad, Jackson Vollom, Austin Geiselhart and Jordan Tilander had two goal performances.

The Broncos outshot their opponents 50 to 6.




International Falls Broncos girls basketball team lost to Hibbing 72-71.



Teiara Martin of the Rainy River Voyageurs women's basketball team has been named a co-winner of the MCAC northern division player of the week award.

Martin paced the Voyageurs to a weekend sweep by scoring  20.5 points per game and shooting 88 per cent from the field.

It's the second time the freshman from Milwaukee has won the award.
