Local Sports for Monday March 21

Fort Frances Lakers find themselves in a hole in their SIJHL semi-final series with the Dryden Ice Dogs.

The Dogs scored a 3-2 win last night at the Ice for Kids to take a two-nothing series lead.

Jaret Leclair and Tyler Stevenson scored for the Lakers.

The series shifts to Dryden for games three and four Tuesday and Thursday respectively.



An all-star team of bantam hockey players from northwestern Ontario begins play at the all-Ontario championship in Thunder Bay today.

The Stars face host Thunder Bay Kings this morning and Elgin-Middlesex tonight.

The team includes Brody McPherson, Carter Brown and Brandon Bodnar of Fort Frances.
