Local Sports for Tuesday March 22

The Northwestern Ontario bantam all-stars lost 7-nothing to Elgin-Middlesex at the all-Ontario championship last night in Thunder Bay.

Netminder Brandon Bodnar of Fort Frances came on in relieve in the third, giving up no goals.

The Stars opened the championship with a 7-1 loss to the host Thunder Bay Kings.

Bodnar took the loss in net in that game.

This afternoon, the Stars will face Mississauga.




Fort Frances Muskies boys hockey team begins play this morning at the all-Ontario High School hockey championship in Toronto.

The 13th ranked Muskies face number 7 Mount Carmel of Mississauga at 9:30 CDT.

Game three of the SIJHL semi-final series between the Fort Frances Lakers and the Dryden Ice Dogs goes tonight in Dryden.

The Lakers trail the best of seven series 2-nothing.
