Local Sports for Thursday March 24

Fort Frances Muskies have officially been eliminated from any hopes of advancing to the playoff round at the all-Ontario high school boys hockey championship in Toronto.

The Muskies lost twice yesterday, 4-1 to St. Thomas of Villanova and 6-1 to St. Mary, to fall to 0-and-3.

They will end tournament play this morning against Holy Cross of Kingston.

Isaac Keefer's rink has started the all-Ontario high school curling championships in Thunder Bay on the right foot.

The Fort Frances High School boys team defeated Ridgetown 5-4.

They face rinks from Sudbury and London today.



The Northwestern Ontario all-stars were beaten twice yesterday at the all-Ontario bantam championships in Thunder Bay yesterday.

The Stars were blanked 8-0 in the morning by Hamilton then lost 5-1 to Ottawa Valley in the evening.

Brandon Bodnar of Fort Frances was in net for the late game.

The Stars conclude play this afternoon against Sault Ste. Marie.
