Local Sports for Friday September 23

Fort Frances Muskies court teams were swept by Dryden in their NorWossa openers.

The girls senior basketball team lost 30-25 after leading 17-12 at the half.

The juniors were edged 38-27.

The junior boys volleyball team lost in four sets by scores of 21-25, 25-22,25-27 and 11-25.

The senior boys also lost in four sets.

The girls basketball and junior boys volleyball teams are in tournament play this weekend.




Fort Frances Muskies football team have their homecoming game today at Muskie field.

The 1-and-1 Muskies face Sisler at 1 p.m.

International Falls Broncos are home to Cloquet, 7 p.m. at Bronco Stadium




Fort Frances Lakers are back home tonight.

They play the defending SIJHL champions Wisconsin Wilderness at the Memorial Sports Centre.




Rainy River Walleye tournament begins today.

Brian and Jim Ney are the defending champions.
