Local Sports for Wednesday September 21

It took 14 shooters before Adam Wensley potted the winning goal in a shootout as the Fort Frances Lakers edged the Dryden Ice Dogs 5-4 last night in Dryden.

Wensley, Jordan Larson with his league-leading fourth of the season, Ryan Wildman and Jaret Leclair scored in regulation.



International Falls Broncos girls volleyball team lost in 3 sets to Lake of the Woods in Baudette by scores of 16-25, 12-25 and 5-25.




Falls High School girls cross country run team failed to place anyone in the top 10, but still finished second overall at a meet in Bagley.

The boys team placed 8th.
