Local Sports for Thursday February 2

Fort Frances Muskies boys basketball teams picked up two more wins yesterday.

The senior boys beat the Dryden Eagles 38-30.

The juniors dominated the Eagles 53-21.


The Muskies girls volleyball teams not as fortunate.

The seniors were swept in three sets while the juniors took the Eagles to four before bowing to the visitors.




Fort Frances Lakers are getting some scouting help.

Trevor Lang will serve as the team's director of scouting for the rest of this year.

Lang stepped down as the Thunder Bay North Stars GM Monday.

The Lakers will also be getting scouting help from Jason Firth, who was the Stars assistant coach until this week.
