Local Sports for Tuesday February 7

Stratton's Trevor Bonot is in the middle of the pack at the Northern Ontario men's curling playdown in Sault Ste. Marie.

Bonot lost 7-1 to Mike Jakubo of Cooper Cliff in an afternoon draw before rebounding for a 7-4 win over Robbie Gordon last night to sit tied for fifth at 2 and 2.

Meantime, the Jeff Currie rink with area resident Mike Badiuk as lead is also 2 and 2.




Fort Frances Muskies girls hockey team scored a 3-1 win over Lake of the Bears.

Hailey Clendenning, Shilo Beck and Katie Sinclair provided the scoring while Calie Clendenning stopped 22 shots in net for the night.

Tonight the Muskies host Kenora's Beaver Brae Broncos - 6:45 pm at the Ice for Kids Arena.



International Falls Broncos girls basketball team lost to Cherry 60-56.




Fort Frances Muskies court teams are in Kenora for their final road trip in NORWOSSA league play of the year.

They have games against the Beaver Brae Broncos.
