Local Sports For Thursday December 20

A 7-goal performance by Jessica Caul highlighted the final games in the first half of the Borderland Women's Indoor Soccer League last night as Peter's Plumbing and Heating blanked Leon's Fort Frances 10-0.

Melanie Hyatt, Hailey Beaudry and Jayme Fiset added the others.

In the only other game played, Boston Pizza beat Cater 2-U 5-2.

Laureen Peters and Andrea Coyle each had a pair for Boston.

Alyssa Holliday and McKenna Begin scored for the Caterers.

Fit Lifestyles and Conditioning was awarded a win over Wright Physiotherapy by default.



First half of the Fort Frances Women's Volleyball league comes to a close tonight.

Notorious D.I.G. and Gillons' Insurance Cougars are tied for the league lead with Scared Hitless a few points back.

Bump it Up, Just Play and Kiss my Pass are also within striking range.



A couple of hockey games for International Falls Broncos.

Both the boys and girls hockey teams are  in Thief River Falls.
