Local Sports For Wednesday December 5

Fort Frances Lakers dropped a 2-1 decision to the Dryden Ice Dogs in Dryden.

Fort Frances Muskies boys hockey team ran its record in NorWossa play to four and oh with a 4-1 win over Kenora's Beaver Brae Broncos at the Ice For Kids Arena last night.

Dylan Curtis scored twice with singles from Braden Webb and Tyler Mosbeck.



Shelby Tymkin and Shilo Beck each had a pair of goals as the Fort Frances Muskies girls hockey team defeated the International Falls Broncos 6-1 in a game played in the Falls.

Amy Penner and Kaily Greengrass added singles for the Muskies.

The girls face Kenora's Thomas Aquinas tonight, 7:30 p.m. at the 52 Canadians Arena.



International Falls Broncos boys hockey team played Eveleth-Gilbert to a 3-3 tie in overtime.

Lucas Debenedet scored twice with Luke Spilde adding the other for the Broncos.



International Falls Broncos boys basketball team open its season with a loss to Eveleth-Gilbert, 74-63.

The girls team won for the third straight time, defeating Lake of the Woods 67-35.



Boys basketball and girls volleyball get underway for the Fort Frances Muskies in NorWossa League action today.

Teams open the season with games this afternoon in Kenora.



Teams in the Borderland Women's Indoor Soccer League in action tonight.

Peters' Plumbing & Heating faces Fit Lifestyles and Conditioning.

That's followed by Leon's Fort Frances at Cater 2 U.

Boston Pizza plays Wright Physiotherapy in the late game at Fort Frances High School.
