Local Sports For Thursday December 6

Shilo Beck had a hat trick and Kaily Greengrass added two more in leading the Fort Frances Muskies girls hockey team to a 7-0 win over the Thomas Aquinas Saints of Kenora last night at the Ice For Kids Arena.

Jessica Coran and Hailey Clendenning added the other markers while Calie Clendenning got the shutout in net.

The Muskies are in tournament action this weekend in Portage La Praire.



The Muskies boys hockey team travels to Dryden for a game against the Eagles.

The Muskies remain unbeaten in four games in NorWossa play this season.



Fort Frances Muskies court teams took three of four games over the Beaver Brae Broncos to open their NorWossa seasons in Kenora.

The senior boys basketball team won 98-69.

The senior girls volleyball team won in four games while the juniors swept the Broncos in three.

The junior boys basketball team dropped its opener 57-43.



Nicole Renburg booted both goals in helping Wright Physiotherapy upset Boston Pizza 2-0.

It's the league leaders first loss of the season in the Borderland Women's Indoor Soccer League.

In the only other game played, Mandy Armstrong scored twice in leading Cater 2 U to a 3-1 win over Leon's Fort Frances.
