Local Sports for Friday June 3

The Fort Frances Muskies are in a must win situation today at the all-Ontario high school boys AA soccer championship in Windsor.

The Muskies dropped a 4-0 decision to Kennedy Collegiate of Windsor yesterday afternoon to fall to 0-and-2.

They lost 2-1 to Peel Region school St. Paul in the opener.

They play St. Joseph's School from St. Thomas this morning.



International Falls Broncos boys baseball team took it on the chin in the Section 7AA tournament, losing 17-0 to Proctor.

The loss ends the Broncos season.



There are now no unbeaten teams in the Rainy River District Fastball League.

The Stratton Eagles ended a four-game win streak with a 15-8 loss to the Big Grassy Lightning.

Elsewhere, Sight and Sound edged the Big Grassy Braves 5-4.

Zack McBride had a pair of homers in Beef's Warriors 13-5 win over Northwest Bay.

Rainy River blanked Big Island 12-0.

Barwick clobbered Manitou 17-8.



In Little League action from the Falls, Meyers Sports and Northern Lumber played to a 7-7 draw.

Dominoes earned a win by default over the Fort Frances Kiwanis.

In girls softball, Dairy Queen edged Border State Bank 8-7.

Mannco Trucking and Cine 5 tied 8-all.
