Local Sports for Tuesday March 2

Five members of the Fort Frances Aquanauts had gold medal performances at a regional swim meet in Thunder Bay on the weekend.

13-year-old Levi Rittau led the way with two-firsts and 3-seconds in his age category.

11-year-old Adam Stromberg also won two twice while 10-year-old Anika Beaudry and 16-year-old Krista Emond picked up single wins their age groups.

As a team, the Aquanauts finished fifth overall.


Five members of Rainy River Community College's basketball teams have received all-star honours from the Minnesota College Athletic Conference.

Bentley Hylton, Dylan Clarke-Knaeble and Brandon Bell were named to the north's all-division team.

Dashondra Brown and Shawncinee Lay of the women's team were named to the north second all-star team.


International Falls Broncos boys basketball team will close out its away schedule today with a game in Aurora against Mesabi East.
