Local Sports for Tuesday March 23

Fort Frances Lakers will enjoy another home game in their SIJHL semi-final series with the Dryden Ice Dogs.

The Lakers rebounded from a 2-1 first period deficit last night to defeat the Ice Dogs 4-2 at the Ice for Kids Arena and even the series at two wins each.

Justin Erhart, Cody Hasbargen, Blake Boaz and Henry Gutierrez scored for the Lakers.

The series shifts back to Dryden on Wednesday with game six back at the Ice for Kids Friday.



Fort Frances Muskies will open play this afternoon at the provincial high school hockey championship in St. Catherines.

Muskies are playing host Denis Morris High School - a team ranked number two.
