Local Sports for Monday June 7

Steve Arpn was eleventh at Saturday's ARCA series race at Pocono, finishing two laps down.
He falls to fourth in the standings and races this Friday at Michigan.


Rain, which fell just as Hot laps started, forced the cancellation of racing at Emo Speedway. Racing will resume next Saturday.


Three members of the Falls High School boys track team have qualified for this week's State meet in St. Paul.

Jake Jensen finished first in the pole vault at the Section 7-A meet in Duluth on the weekend while Tim Myles was tops in the High Jump. Shawn Filipiak also qualified in the high jump with a second-place finish.



Fort Frances Muskies football club is gearing up for another season.

The team holds its spring camp beginning today at the High School beginning at 3:30 p.m. Students in grades 9 through 12 next season, are eligible to attend.
