Local Sports for Wednesday June 9

Rain washed out last night games in the Rainy River District Fastball League, but the Borderland Soccer League did get one game in.

Taggs Source for Sports won its first game of the season in the women's division with an 8-1 victory over Al's Racquet Stringing.

Stephanie Mattson, Jessica Taggart and Blair Harnett each had a pair of goals for Taggs with singles from Sarah Blais and Michelle Cournoyer.

Robyn Dennis had the lone goal for Al's.
