Local Sports for Thursday June 17

A four-goal performance from Laureen Peters paced Boston Pizza to a 5-3 win over the La Place Rendezvous Voyageurs under 18-team in Borderland Soccer League women's play last night.

Sarah Gould had the other goal for Boston.

Sarah Coish with a pair and Wynona Kavanugh replied for the Voyageurs who suffered their first loss of the season.

In the men's division, Manitou Forest Products ran its unbeaten streak to six with a 2-1 win over the Voyaguer's under-18 team.

Sarah Noon and Chad Faragher scored for Manitou.

Colton Spicer had the lone goal for the Voyageurs

Fans of Duncan Keith and the Stanley Cup winning Chicago Blackhawks will get their opportunity to watch them in action in Winnipeg this fall.

The Hawks will play Tampa Bay in an exhibition game at the MTS Centre September 22.
