Local Sports for Monday June 11

Gavin Paull captured his fourth straight feature win in the modified division at Emo Speedway, Saturday.

Paull nearly didn't make it to the final race after some mechanical issues from the previous heat race.

Anthony Visser in the midwest modified division and Ron Westover in the street stocks were the other winners.



On the go-kart track in Emo Friday, Justin Besch captured the novice feature.

Jyllian Westover and A.J Kellar were heat winners.

Aric Supinski swept both the heats and the feature in the Advanced class.



Fort Frances Muskies finished on a high note at the all-Ontario high school boys double A soccer championship in North Bay.

Muskies blanked St. Thomas Aquinas 2-0 in their final game, to finish the tournament with a win and three losses



Rainy River Owls concluded their run Friday at the single-A girls soccer championship in Elgin.

They finished the tournament with a tie and three losses.
