Local Sports for Friday May 11


Falls High School track teams finished first overall at the Dick Ostroot meet hosted by the school.

The girls captured wins in 10 of 18 events over their only opponents from Big Fork.

The boys earned victories in eight events to finish above Evelth-Gilbert and Big-Fork.



Rainy River Voyageurs women's softball team was bounced 6-nothing by top ranked Itasca at the Region 13-B championship in Grand Rapids.




Borderland Soccer Association is giving latecomers that ability to sign-up for this year's soccer season with a late fee.

Members of the Minnesota Wild will be making a visit to International Falls this summer.

Players Justin Falk, Chad Rau, along with former team captain Wes Walz will visit June 25.
