The Rainy River Voyagers men's baseball team is into the MCAC playoff round for the first time.

The Voyageurs put up 7 runs in the sixth inning to blast by Fond Du Lac 13-7 in a northern division tie breaker.

They will now face Itasca this weekend for the right to play in this month's State tournament.




A third place finish for the Falls High School track team at a meet in Grand Rapids.

The teams only wins came from Savanah Olson in the shot put and discus.

The boys team was fifth overall.




A pair of Rainy River high school students will open play today at the provincial high school championships in badminton.

Skylar Aprin and Courtney Hanson open play this morning in women's doubles.

The event is being played in Stratford.




International Falls Broncos boys baseball team will look to climb back to the .500 mark with a home game against Virginia.

The Broncos girls softball team is on the road to face Mountain Iron-Buhl.
