Local Sports for Friday May 4


Skylar Arpin and Courtney Hanson are in b-side of the provincial high school badminton championships in Stratford.

The Rainy River High School duo won their opening women's doubles match against a team from Bracebridge, but lost the next to a Toronto area pair.

They will open play this morning against a Peterborough duo.




Pitcher Gunnar Anderson struck out six and scattered three hits as the International Falls Broncos boys baseball team shut out Virginia 7-0.

The Broncos face Mesabi East tonight.


The Falls High School track teams are in a meet today in Baudette.



Rainy River Voyageurs women's softball team took both ends of a double header against Mesabi Range, winning 11-0 in the first game and 9-5 in the second.




Rainy River Voyageurs women's softball close out its season in the MCAC with a game in Hibbing tonight.

They are also in tournament play in Grand Rapids on the weekend.





Fort Frances Muskies girls soccer team is on the pitch today.

They travel to Winnipeg for a weekend tournament.




Super stocks will be returning to Emo Speedway this year.

A WISSOTA Super Stock Special will be a part of the regular race schedule on July 14th.

Super stocks last raced at Emo in 2008.
