Rainy River Owls senior girls basketball team has been moved into the consolation round of the all-Ontario Division A championship in St. Catherines.

The Owls lost to Rideau of Ottawa 43-24 and Welland's Jean Vanier 68-12 yesterday.

The Owl will need a win this morning over King's Christian Collegiate of Oakville to stay alive in the championship.
      Fort Frances Lakers are at home for a pair of games this weekend, facing Thunder Bay North Stars tonight and the Minnesota Wilderness tomorrow.       Fort Frances Muskies hockey teams are in tournament play.   The boys are playing in Dryden while the girls travel to Buffalo Minnesota.       Rainy River Owls participation in the all-Ontario senior girls division A basketball champion in St. Catherines has come to an end.   The Owls were bounced 52-32 by King's Christian Collegiate of Oakville in quarter-finals of the consolation round this morning.

Skylar Arpin led Rainy River in scoring with 14 points.
