Local Sports For Wednesday November 28

Fort Frances Muskies boys hockey team remain perfect in NorWossa play.

The Muskies blanked Kenora's Thomas Aquinas Saints 2-0 at the Memorial Sports Centre last night.

Ryan Ferguson picked up the shutout.

The Muskies are in tournament play in Brandon beginning Thursday.
      International Falls Broncos boys hockey team opened up its season with a 3-1 loss to Hibbing in Hibbing last night.   Eric Lassila had the Broncos only marker.


The Broncos girls basketball team also opening its season.

They defeated Ely 69-46.



Fort Frances Lakers are hoping to keep the Duluth Clydesdales searching for their first win under new head coach Ben Johnson.

The Lakers host the Clydesdales tonight at the Ice For Kids Arena, having won all three previous matches.

Johnson took over Duluth's coaching duties from Aaron Haupert over the weekend.



Teams in the Borderland Women's Indoor Soccer League in action tonight.

Boston Pizza continues to lead the league with six wins in six weeks.

Laureen Peters of B.P. leads the league in scoring with 17 goals.
