Local Sports For Thursday November 29

Fort Frances Lakers are back into a tie for fourth place in the SIJHL after defeated the Duluth Clydesdales 3-1 at the Ice for Kids Arena last night.

Colton Spicer, Miles Nolan and Jordan Christianson scored for the Lakers who are now tied with the Minnesota Iron Rangers in the standings.

The Lakers will face the Rangers Saturday in Hoyt Lakes.
      A pair of markers each by Lauren Parkinson and Kim Cousineau helped Leon's Fort Frances earned its first win in the Borderland Women's Indoor Soccer League.   Leon's beat Wright's Physiotherapy 5-3.   In other games, Laureen Peters netted a hat trick as Boston Pizza beat Fit Lifestyles and Conditioning 6-2 to remain unbeaten.   Jess Caul scored three times in helping Peter's Plumbing and Heating to a 5-2 win over Cater 2-U.       Fort Frances Muskies hockey teams are on the road today.

The boys team travels to Brandon for the start a tournament.

The Muskies face Morden tonight in their opener.

The girls team is in Dryden to face the Eagles in NorWossa Action.



In International Falls, the Broncos girls basketball team travels to Deer River.
