Fort Frances Lakers won their third straight over the Sioux Lookout Flyers last night with a 6-5 shootout victory at Ice for Kids Arena.

Lakers outscored the Flyers in the shootout 2-1 with Bryon Kakapaytuk getting the decisive goal.

Katapaytuk, Jaret Leclair, Josh Scott, Tim Hennessey and Tyler Stevenson scored in regulation time.


Fort Frances Muskies girls' hockey team fell 7-4 to Dryden in NORWOSSA action.

Jessica Taggart, Carlee Bosma, Courtney Easton and Jillian Langtry scored for the Muskies.


International Falls Broncos girls' hockey team has been eliminated from the section 7-A championship.

The Broncos fell 6-2 to Chisago Lakes in a semi-final game played in Cloquet.


For the second game in a row, the Broncos boys' hockey team was shutout - this time by the Roseau Rams 3-0.

On the court, the Broncos boys' basketball team lost of Mountain Iron Buhl 69-58 while the girls were 67-27 winners over Littlefork-Big Falls.
